Inspirations from Nature

 

I was fortunate to launch my career at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, where an enduring interest in California native plants began. Propagating and collecting plants, designing new living displays, teaching, and writing - my knowledge grew with each endeavor. Collecting trips around the state were especially rewarding, not to mention downright fun. When designing with native plants, my memories of those experiences and wild places inform my work.
